Manseryeok · Saju Chart
Manseryeok is the calendar used to construct a saju chart. This tool uses solar terms for the year and month, the date for the day pillar and mean solar time at 127.5° E for the hour pillar. Enter a Korean clock time: the calculator does not adjust for your birth country or location.

How this is calculated
- Year pillar: changes at Beginning of Spring.
- Month pillar: changes at the month’s solar-term entry.
- Day pillar: follows the sixty-day cycle.
- Hour pillar: mean solar time at 127.5° E. Modern Korean standard time without daylight saving is adjusted by −30 minutes; 23:30 begins the next day’s Rat hour.
- Birth period: use the midpoint of the Korean clock-time range for the birth date, including historical standard-time and daylight-saving rules.
Frequently asked questions
The shared reference is mean solar time at 127.5° E. Modern Korean standard time uses 135° E, so 30 minutes are subtracted. Historical Korean standard time and daylight saving are handled by birth date. Birth-location longitude and the equation of time are not used.
Enter the clock time recorded at birth in Korea. The tool subtracts one hour during applicable Korean daylight-saving periods in 1948–1951, 1955–1960 and 1987–1988. It also handles the 127.5° E standard used in 1954–1961.
Choose “I know the birth period.” The options follow Korean clock rules for that birth date. Rat hour is normally 23:30–01:30 and Ox hour 01:30–03:30; daylight saving shifts them one hour later. The selected period is represented by its midpoint.
Yes. Select the Korean lunar calendar and the leap-month option if applicable. Invalid dates or nonexistent leap months are rejected.
Yes. K-Fortune uses no random numbers. The same birth details, gender and reference date produce the same scores and explanations on every device.
Choosing “Time unknown” excludes the hour pillar, its Ten Gods, hidden stems and life stage, and any relationships involving it. Element balance, strength, the useful element and fortune scores are recalculated from three pillars, so the overall reading may change. For unknown birth times, the calculation library uses a noon reference to determine the year, month and day pillars and decade cycles. This does not recover your actual birth time. Near solar-term or date boundaries, the chart and decade-cycle start may differ from a calculation using the actual time.
